setenv gatewayip x.x.x.x
HiI do remember when i first got the Shield i change the ip address on the wan via the gui and it then stopped working, after contacting Itus one of they engineers remotely accessed the shield via my serial cable and said the unit was faulty and sent me a replacement, I then played with so broken unit as i had nothing to loose, and manage to get working by puting on a new image from the new Shield, but I do remember that when the shield starts up the very first time a script is run and then all code in between the comments ' Can be safely removed' were removed for the script once it had run, this could be were the eth0 was set.Have a look at these to files, I will try and find the original file with the commands that were removedrc.localetc/itus-setup.shOn Wed, 1 May 2019 at 21:26, Grommish [via Itus Networks Owners Forum] <[hidden email]> wrote:dnsmasq acts as a DHCP Server, answering DHCP requests from the LAN side (eth1/eth2). I'm trying to get a DHCP client to pull and assign on the WAN side (eth0). At this point, I'd settle for being able to assign a static IP (10.10.10.10) like the Shield does in Router mode. I've copied the /etc/config/network and /etc/config/dhcp files from the Router image and put it into the base OpenWRT image I've got loaded. Not being able to assign it an IP (comes up as a Private IP) means I've got to bounce back and forth between the Router image and the base image so I can SCP from the box.
Below is my ifconfig output. I"m not sure where the extra ethx and loop devices are being set at either. And I don't know where the br-lan bridge is being set at. Below the ifconfig output is my /etc/config/network and /etc/config/dhcp (both taken from ITUS Router image)
