Shield starts up, but is unresponsive and doesn't work

James Brown
I've been using the Shield for a while now, but last night the internet was running slowly so I thought I'd reboot it. I've heard here about the Snort logs getting big and slowing things down.

Anyway, pulled out power, waited a few seconds, plugged it back in.

Lights would come on, but I could never access it at 10.10.10.10 and I never got internet. Tried all sorts of things. Multiple reboots and factory resets. Could not ssh into it either.

In router mode. P, 0 & 2 lights were on. I could also see a flashing LED inside the unit.

Have had to remove it from my setup so that I could get internet back.

Any suggestions?

How can I use the Console port to find out what is happening?

Was running SP1.

(Computers here are Macs).

 Thanks,

James.

The lights mean you're connected in router mode and that you have power.

For the console port to work, you need a console cable.
With the console cable you can access Shield even if it fails to boot. Based on what you're writing, that's the way to go.
