Hi guys,

First. Thank you for that informative post. I appreciate the time it took to write it out.

Second. Those are things I was waiting to try once I had it back in hand. I had left it at work and set aside for a bit. Well, the first part of your post any way, I had no idea of the second part yet (luckily) but thanks, very useful info.

I hooked my console cable up to it and got it to boot, it took a very long time and I updated it to v 1.51 SP1.

So I'll start playing around with it again and see how it's working. After I had posted this I also went to use a bluetooth speaker which was plugged in the same power bar as the shield. It appears to be dead now too.. ugh.. so I think that circuit was spiking or something. It was the same circuit as the furnace and hot water tank and I noticed when they both happen to click on at the same time by chance, there were spikes. So I've removed anything which was plugged into that relay.

I'll play around with the shield over the next few days and report back. I'm using a Juniper SRX100h right now on the edge at home, but will tweak this and put it to some testing.

Will need to rethink my home lab as I have way too much equipment for what I need but I just love playing with it all. :)
