I did not.  I could never find a true 5vDC fan that would work with the header on the PCB.. I probably COULD get it to work if I really worked on it, but the time I was spending wasn't worth it.

Instead, I put a Raspberry Pi flat copper heatsink on the CPU to passively cool the chip.  I don't know if heating was the issue, I can tell you that the temps weren't THAT hot (right around 50*C), but it was more than I was comfortable with.  So, the heatsink could be totally unnecessary, but it makes ME feel better.

I may revisit the fan later.. i've got 3 of them that I ordered sitting here that I've torn apart.
