Hi All
just install the new snort package 2.9.9.0.2 that BREDALRV has kindly sent my, installation whet very smoothly (bridge mode).

I'm know testing for stability and any crashes. I have applied all the speed suggestions that  user8446 has kindly come up with, also i have been working on a upgrade version 8.3.5 which adds a few new windows and improvements and bug fixes.

I will release if all goes well with the new snort package

What's the results of your testing? On my end it's rock solid running day after day. No reboots or anything.
A big thanks to @Breda for doing the legwork to find a developer for the Snort upgrade. The shield has been one of the best security appliances I have on the network.

Indeed, thanks all for keeping this little gizmo alive!
I didn't find the correct thread, is there a test package somewhere (GIT?) or are we waiting for one to be released?

Thanks
