recompiling vnstat version 1.15 for the Shield

Hi
Does anyone have the skill to recompile the program vnstat for openwrt, at present the shield is using version 1.12 which is old, the current version 1.15 has many improvements and bug fixes. I looked at openwrt version and they are still on version 1.12 about 4 year old .
