Itus Shield v1.0 (Gateway Mode) - issues

Hi,

Thanks, to the wonderful help from this message forum, I'm now able to login to my ITUS Shield via SSH.

Now, my second question:

I'm running my ITUS Shield in Gateway mode because with my ISP I'm able to get the maximum throughput (see speedtest below).



However, I've seen on several occasions that the Shield will drop my internet connection.

Additionally, Luci is pretty buggy (login screen loops, on Google Chrome), and WebFilter errors....

Also, since Itus is in "limbo", as Daniel describes, I doubt the shield is downloading any Antivirus definitions on a regular basis.


I'm hoping to upgrade to 1.5x which will resolve these issues....  

Can anyone confirm?

AFAIK gateway was never fully developed by ITUS. My guess is that SNORT was not configured for GW.

I've never worked in GW mode myself, how do you expect it to work? (vs router/bridge?)

What's the status of the 1.51 community update?

Do you have any screenshots of Luci?

The update sp1.51 was the latest release from Itus before there trouble. Hans has put together some hot fixes  that are available from the forum which you don't have to install but I would recommend updating.  Sp1.51 does not have anti virus any more.
