Hi Breda

Firewalla RED can only process packets around 100Mbits per second.  This is with around 1000 rules installed in the data path.

The blue has double the memory, but they do not state how many rules can  be installed and what the through put is with max rules, It must be using the man in the middle process, the same that the Shield has which was in an experimental state.

My Shield is still going strong.

Hi Breda you should be able to get 100mbps easily. How many rules do you have?

Run this command:
wc -l /etc/snort/rules/snort.rules

I bet you have rule groups loaded for stuff you don't need like servers & old computers that aren't updated
Running in bridge mode, 1.51 SP1 fw
