How can I reset it ?
Two options:

1) there is a reset button on the back of shield. Power off, press reset and power on. Keep it pressed for about 20 seconds.

2) run the script /etc/itus/factory_reset.sh

Vikram

I would redo the factory reset

unplug power, press pin in and hold whilst reconnecting the power, still holding pin in for another 30 seconds, let pin go and go and have a tea whilst the Shield resets itself. A lot of problem come from people tiring to use the shield too soon.

once the shield is up,  download the hotfix and run, again leave about 10 minutes to make sure it's done.

log in via gui and check firmware version.

if you change from router to bridge mode you will have to run the hotfix again to update the bridge mode ( each mode is seperate)

if you are still having problem just let the forum know

Any concern that Vikram is running in router mode and can't ping 10.10.10.10 and yet he has a DHCP address of 192.168.178.30 from the router? (from prior page)

Now he is able to ping 10.10.10.10... but does he still have the x.x.178.30 IP?

Vikram, if you can indeed ping 10.10.10.10, what is the IP of your pc you're pinging it from?

Good to hear that. Please check a day later if the update script cron job ran well.
In that case the LuCI landing page will show "last updated .... " with a recent date.

What do you mean with "broke my shield"? Internet, SSH, LuCI access, all?

The hotfixes are intended for installation on fresh installs (1.51SP1) as they overwrite config files like DHCP and NETWORK.
However the  rest of the hotfix files are fixes to scripts - triggered only if you use (trigger) a particular function.,

What is the IP address of the PC you're using to ping/access Shield?
