Boot image size varies?

Can anyone explain me why the bridge/gateway/restore/router images have different file sizes?

When i wipe my shield, i copy the restore image (1.51SP1) over the bridge/router/gateway.
Without (!) using the router/gateway images, I see the following sizes later on:

BTW, this is a size table from Breda - exactly matching mine.

That's a good question and i don't have a clue, Could take sometime to find this one out.

Could be but i would like to understand what happens here.
